Royal Navy Lodge No. 429 | Members' Portal

Welcome Chris!

Our May meeting saw the initiation of yet another member to the Royal Navy lodge.   As we work our way through the backlog of candidates caused by the temporary suspension of masonic gatherings, we were delighted to welcome Chris as our third candidate for 2022.

Chris’s interest in Freemasonry was sparked by a lifelong friendship with one of our members, Steve McInerney.     Steve and Chris met nearly 40 years ago when out cycling.  Since then, they have been firm friends and enjoyed many trips and experiences together.   During the festive board, they recalled one specific sailing trip where it seemed Chris hadn’t quite found his sea legs!

Chris on his initiation

Chris, a serving officer with Kent police enjoyed a wonderful evening of fun and fellowship during his initiation.  Steve also took part in his ceremony by presenting the working tools of an entered apprentice freemason to Chris during the ceremony.

Chris is now looking forward to watching the ceremony in full and becoming part of the Royal Navy family.
