Designed for those that can’t play and those that think they can….
The Outhwaite Golf tournament was originally named after one of the Past Masters or Royal Navy Lodge, WBro Peter Outhwaite. Peter was taken from us too early and in a tribute, the annual vent was named in his honour. In subsequent years, we also lost his father Jason and so the trophy is now in honour of both former members.
The event is played at North Foreland Golf club on the Par 3 Northcliffe course. The course itself provides a stiff test for those who can play, but similarly is laid out to make it enjoyable for the beginner. In recent years, it has been won by WBro Derek Rogers of St Johns in Thanet lodge.

The event is open to all Area 8 Freemasons
and followed by a supper and presentation.
Guests are also welcome and there are
separate prizes for the guests.
The proceeds of any fundraising will go usually go
to our Almoner & Ladies committee to fund the work
they do with the lodge widows.
